Doctor:I feel like doing work now. You are energetic now and you love to do work now. Patient:Yes! Doctor:We want you to stay energetic. Doctor:Were you diabetic before surgery? Patient:Yes! Doctor:Are your blood sugar levels normal now? Patient:Yes! Doctor:We want you to be more energetic. Patient:Ok. Doctor:For that, you need to eat good food. Patient:Ok. Doctor:We all know that in these procedures we modify natural system made by God. Patient:Yes! Doctor:Everyone suggests you lose weight with diet and exercise and don't go for Bariatric Surgery. Patient:Yes! Doctor:But that is not possible. Patient:Yes! Doctor:You will lose some weight with that but will regain it. Patient:Yes! Doctor:Nowadays every other person is suffering from knee pains and many other common problems. Patient:Yes! Doctor:We are free from these kinds of problems now. Patient:Yes! Doctor:Take 2 tablets of calcium daily. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Take 1 tablet of multivitamin daily. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Take 1 tablet of Iron daily. Patient:Daily? Doctor:Yes! and get your blood tests done regularly. Doctor:Don't take Iron and Calcium tablets at the same time. Patient:Yes! Doctor:Ok. Doctor:Next thing is, take care of your diet. Doctor:We always worry about how much weight we will lose in the long run? Patient:Yes! Doctor:and we want to lose more weight. Patient:Ok. Doctor:The best way to lose weight is to eat meals acc. to the thali system. Start your meal with salad, then eat vegetables and curd. Eat chapati in the end. Patient:Ok. Doctor:But we Punjabis can eat 2 chapatis with a small amount of Dal. Patient:Yes! Doctor:But that is wrong. You will absorb more and will gain weight. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Don't eat chapatis and don't drink sweet tea again and again. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Don't eat carbohydrates again and again. Doctor:You will feel hungry after short interval because your liver is better now. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Whenever you feel hungry eat fruits. You can have fruits 4-5 times a day. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Have curd or buttermilk when you feel hungry. Patient:Ok. Doctor:You can have tea (with jaggery) a maximum of 2 times a day. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Don't eat chapati more than 2 times a day. Patient:Ok. Doctor:Eat fruits, and curd after short intervals. You can eat any seasonal fruit. Patient:Can I eat dry fruits? Doctor:Yes! You can eat handful of dry fruits once a day. Patient:Ok.
